A02 Update causing hang-ups
Just wondering if anyone is experiencing this problem after updating to ROM A02. I have a 400Mhz, running Snoopsoft Dashboard v1.5.001a and Magic Button v1.0. Almost daily, I find that the 'OK' or 'X' button in the upper right hand corner disappears and I can no longer close, minimize or get out of whatever application I'm in. The only recourse is a soft-resert. Fortunately, no data has been lost and nothing appears to be corrupt...it's just a pain in the ass having to reset to close whatever I'm doing. Everything worked fine before A02. Is there a way to go back to A00?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
R

I had similar lockup problems (with the switcher bar and active sync) not to mention I could not sync my tasks or calander. I've lost the thread but someone suggested doing a data only backup (pims and my docs) and then hard reset and reinstall. Well, that is the ONLY thing that got my axim back to it's pre-upgrade stability level. It blows if you have a lot of apps, It took me nearly 6 hours to reinstall!:rolling: LOL

I have had similar issues, mainly when I insert my Cisco Wireless card. Never happened before the upgrade. Now it just hangs at my password and I have to do a soft reset to get it back to normal.
I had a bunch of problems with the upgrade so I am just going to deal with it until a new version Upgrade comes out.

I had similar problems.
5 or 6 hardresets later, I isolated the problem to either tdlaunch or wisbar, both which have been elimanated from the roster.
Now things are running smooth.
Good luck.

I also had this problem with hang-ups...had to do several soft resets. Didi a hard reset and reinstalled all of the apps 1 by 1 and discovered the problem was with my Wisbar. It had to go !

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with hang-ups....at least as far as the Axim is concerned!!
I've had mine since December and fortunately I don't have a lot of applications installed. Guess I'll try the data backup/hard reset scenario and reload things one-at-a-time.
Thanks for the suggestions

It may not be just the upgrade . . .
I havent't installed the A02 upgrade, but have noticed that the white circle OK sometimes disappears . . . but will usually return in time. I do use Wisbar, but not tdlaunch. No hangs.

I had a similar, although less severe, problem after the A02 update. I ended up doing a hard reset just because I decided all the programs I'd installed on a trial basis, and in many cases deleted probably were leaving behind some trash.
After the hard reset, I reinstalled both Wisbar and tdlauncher and the problem did not recur. I've subsequently replaced Wisbar with Icbar because it has some different features I decided I wanted but everything is working fine.
As an aside, installing the programs from scratch instead of using my backup file did leave the Axim running much faster than it was both before the update or after it when I had used my backup file.

I've had no problems since the A02 update but I had eliminate programs that I felt were nor running with enough stability prior to the update.
