Worried Help, Eugina! (sp) with Belkin Bluetooth CF Card!

Okay, I managed to get the program installed to my Axim...but now the card won't turn on. I did a soft reset, as it is turning back on, it blinks for several seconds, then stops. I tried removing/reinserting the card, but it does nothing. I tried turning the PPC off and on, and then the blue light blinks twice and that's all. What am I doing wrong?

Hey,

When I try to access the bluetooth manager, it says:

The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio.

Tried moving the slider over, but still the same message appears. Keep in mind, the program starts in the lower right corner, except when I go to Bluetooth Manager WITHIN the program, it gives me that message.

Ok, the problem is, that I had to install the Bluetooth Drivers to main memory, via a cab file, because the setup wouldn't direct it to my device, via activesync. Same thing happened with Pocket Hack Master 2004, and a few other programs, but most of the programs install to my device just fine...

EDIT: I tried the setup CD included and the setup file that you had available in your other topic, and the same thing happens where it takes me to the add/remove dialog box making it seem like the program isn't supported..o_o

I think it's obvious that you just don't have enough memory to perform Bluetooth operations. You told me on IM that you only have 11 MBs of storage and 22 MBs of program memory free. I have 26 and 26 MBs respectively.

As a rule, I only install drivers and system files in the main memory. All the "normal" apps are installed on my Built-In Storage or SD card. This way I can be sure that apps that require extra memory CAN have it available to them.

I highly suggest you use the Add/Remove software utility to remove apps from the Main Memory and then re-install them on your SD card or Built-In Storage. Try getting at about 40-45 MBs overall back. Then, hit a soft-reset again, and retry the Bluetooth card.

I suggest you find out what makes the app not installing via ActiveSync then. This seems like a problem with your Axim's communication. These Breeze, PocketPlus, Today plugins hacking crap people usually run really break things.

Ok, what about the reason why the setup files won't install using activesync? I'm not the only one with the problem. Someone else had a problem with PHM2004 a while back.

I'll try to free up memory.

WAIT a second. I think I know what's wrong. You said that you installed the drivers manually, using the .cab file. First of all, there are TWO .cab files in the driver zip file. Second of all, the .cab files are NOT enough!!! There are kernel extension drivers there that were NOT installed with the .cabs.

You MUST find what's wrong with your X5 and ActiveSync (create a new Activesync connection if possible, by deleting the old one) and try to install the drivers PROPERLY via the setup.exe to the MainMemory. I promise you, it WILL work after that.

And of course, do free up memory from normal apps. You are really low on memory anyway.

Gah...hmm...I don't know what's wrong with it though. Trial programs I download from the web install just fine...except the bluetooth setup files...

BTW, I now have around 24MB free for storage.

It does the same thing. I uninstalled the program, when I run the setup, it extracts some files to a directory on my PC. I go to it, and it shows a documentation folder and then four temp files and 3 cab files. I tried all 3 and only one works on my device, the others say that it isn't compatible with windows ce, except this time, it says a file in my windows directory is in use or in rom and can't be copied...thus the installation won't continue a second time.

Okay, that didn't work. Traces of the program are still on the device--worst of all, I can't delete it because it's in the windows directory...-_-;;

Okay, I'm now back to the beginning with the apparent 'memory' problem. I now have 40MB free total, and still says the same thing. Another thing I noticed, the driver folder name where I got yours from says Pocket PC 2000 / 2002. Are these really for WM2003?!
