IP Address Conflict
Since I’ve installed by Axim I periodically get the following pop-up notice: “Windows – System Error. There is an IP conflict with another system on the network.” I’ve also noticed that when this happens, Norton advises me of an attempted attack by another computer on my network. I am working on a single computer with no network. The only other “computer” is the Axim. Of course, there are other peripheral devices: printer, cable modem, SF card reader, scanner.
Can I do something to correct this reporting? I can’t see that anything is affected. All programs and devices appear to be working normally. Or should I just live with it.
I am running a generic PC with Pent IV 1.4 Ghz, 512MB RAM, gigabytes of free hard drive space and Win XP.
