Dead Axim X5 - Battery?

Last weekend I replaced the small back-up battery in my Axim X5 and put it in the cradle. Today I noticed that it's DEAD - I can't turn it on and it won't charge in the cradle or using the AC adapter and power cord.

Has my main battery died - all of a sudden? I imagine that I lost all data and that is not a problem. But have I lost the ROM upgrade too?

Thanks for advice.

You would not have lot the ROM update. Did you press the reset button on the side? (Soft reset)

Have had this problem with my X5 as well open the battery compartment and gently bend up the tab to make better contact with the battery. So people within this forum have also reported placing something within the compartment to allow the battery to make better contact.
Good Luck
