Axim screen needs color correction

My Axim has the Blues.

When I use my Axim to view pictures from my PC or from my digital camera, they have a slight blue cast. I corrected this in the picture viewer and didn't give it much thought.

When I started creating Themes for the Axim I found that to make the today screen pictures look normal I had to increase the red and green values by about 50 on a scale of 0 to 255.

Is this normal?

The reds on my Axim are horriibly washed out. I just assume this is part of the cost cutting that was necessary to get the Axim down to the point were all of us could afford to have a PocketPC. It's worth the tradeoff to me, as otherwise I'd be stuck with a POS monochrome palm.

Have not noticed any real color problems with any of the pictures I use in themes.

The theme pictures are not terrible looking without correction, especially if the picture is predominantly blue or white to start with. They just look washed out. If I correct the picture to look right on the Axim, the picture will have a radioactive green cast to it when viewed on the desktop monitor.

I can live with it as I can adjust the pictures. I was just wondering if this is a fault or just the nature of the beast.

I also have a slight blue cast, and that is likely due to the fact that there is no Gamma correction for this small LCD screen. Doesn't bother me because I don't intend to do any photo editing on anything but my desktop and my monitor, for which I can make the adjustments.
