I'm afraid i've got a lot of things to tell :)
First is to thank you for your answer rvdparis.
Second...I TRIED TO CHANGE LANGUAGE AND BROKE MY AXIM

(so i wouldn't recomend you to try)
Here goes how I did it...
I downloaded both spanish and english ROM upgrades. I thought: It's a ROM dump so if I try and dump the english ROM upgrade over my hard resetted Axim I would get language changed.
When I tried to dump the english ROM upgrade it told me that the languaje wasn't compatible. I even tried to hex edit the 2 english ROM files, change the signature at the begining of the file to the spanish signatures and move and rename these files to the spanish upgrade installation and try it from there. Still no way.
Here is the easy trick: Finally I tried to simply change the regional settings of my Axim to English (United States) and the english ROM upgrade program recognised it as the english Axim model (yes I also couldn't belive it but you can easily try).
So I started the ROM upgrade proccess:
1/12
2/12
3/12
(stuck):crooked:
(no answer):rolling:
After 30 minutes I hard reseted the Axim and it had half the menus in English, half in spanih, most of the programs missing and no one running...
That's the sad story of my Axim... may she now Rest In Peace.
I supose that there must be some hardware incompatibility between the english and the multilanguaje versions (my spanish one did not include the OCR feature for the notes handwritten text which was included in the english manual, so that could mean it had some type of chip missing -cheaper for Dell-)
By the way, in Europe there are at least French, German, Italian and Spanish languaje models.
Hope this may be of any help, I'm afraid I now will not usually come back to this forum as I now have no Dell to make smoke
;)
...enjoy yours!!!
