I'm having a major problem with my Axim that Dell has been completely unhelpful in solving. Any program I install will not completely uninstall properly. Whether I do it through activesync or from the Axim itself, the program either will not completely remove, or it will remove but the prorgam title will remain in the window of installed programs. How can I make sure programs are properly uninstalled and not consuming space? What about removing the names of uninstalled programs from the list?
Thanks so much for any help in advance,
Guido

Pocket PC is a lot like Windows, including ill-written 3rd party programs that don't uninstall correctly. It's not Dell's fault, and you can't really blame them for not trying to support 3rd party software.

Removing files and icons is a lot like windows. Go to file explorer, my device, windows, start menu. The icons in the start menu are listed here. Drill down to programs to see more icons. Removing files is just like in Windows, too.

Another way is to plug the Axim into your PC, then on the ActiveSynch screen, select "Explore".

Unlike Windows, the worst thing that can happen is that you'll have to do a hard reset. This resets all memory to the original factory state. It is the ultimate way to clean house, if a little extreme.

Good luck, and enjoy your Axim.
