I am sure there is a thread on this somewhere on this site, but I cannot seem to find it.

After sounding an alarm my Axim will not turn off, even though I have it set to turn off automatically after 3 minutes. This is very disturbing since if I don't catch it, my battery completely runs down leaving my Axim unusable at best and at worst requiring a reset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A likely problem is that you have the 'On/Off' light set to flash and as long as it is flashing, the 'turn off after x minutes' does not work.

Go to Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications and either disable that feature or set it to a low time.

Somewhat an aside but one which may be important to people wishing to keep the blinking light: I believe one 'fix' in either the A02 or A03 ROM upgrade was to make the available time limits shorter.

I have the flash light setting unchecked which should mean it doesn't flash at all, so that isn't the problem.
