SD card full, or write protected?

I am trying to install a program to my SD card and it says it is either write protected or full. Both of which are not true. I have about 500 megs available on the card and the program is about 14 megs. Any suggestions.

The program is called Merck Medicus Mobile if that helps
Thanks
-Dave

Have you checked to make sure that the switch on the card is not on the lock position?

Are you using folders on the card? There is a limit on the number of directory entries on the root of the card, but no limit on directory entries in folders. When you hit the root limit, it reports that it is full, even if the card has space.

Did you pull out the SD card whilst your Axim was still on?

You get the error message. If you got it, the quick test is to delete two files (copy them somewhere else if you need them), create a folder and then copy one file from the root to the folder and then try adding more to the folder. If it works, that was the problem. (You need the two because copying/moving creates a temporary file during the move proces.)

that was it. I deleted some folders, and then it worked fine. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
