on/off button dimming x50v

I used to hit the on/off button for 3 secs and it would dim my axim. I recently upgraded it to the A05 update. Now it won't work. When I hold it down it does nothing. I don't want to set the dim to 30 secs because I only like it dim when I listen to music. I've checked the settings but can't find where to make it work. Any help? thanks

Hi, welcome to aximsite,

I just checked mine and the backlight dim still works with A05 - but I can't actually find where this setting is located though. Maybe it is a program you have installed which is conflicting with it?

oh and for your information: If you want to get the most battery life from you PDA when playing music you can turn the screen of completely by mapping one of the buttons in WMP or GSPlayer or BetaPlayer (what ever you use) to "toggle screen" and that will switch the screen on and off while leaving the music playing and increase your battery life remarkably (say to 5hrs depending on data rate and song format).

Cheers
