X50v + WM5 + V710 = headache

Before I upgraded to WM5 I was able to connect to my V710 and dial-up to the internet with no problem. Now I cannot successfully bond to my phone. Any ideas?

That happened to me also. They have done something to the bluetooth that it is no longer compatible. I hope there is a fix out there.

Any idea if it is a Dell problem or a WM5 problem?

I see that some people are able to get the V710 working with the Axim 51v. There must be some difference. I was syncing perfectly with the V710 and my Axim X50v before I upgraded to WM5, now I can't get it to work.

I have an X51v and I can't bond correctly with my V710. So far, I am only aware of one person with an X51 that has accomplished this.

Any of you willing to post your phone's firmware version? Perhaps a newer firmware will fix the problem (holding out hope).

I'm on the V710 at 8700_01.30.8F which appears to be the oldest firmware for the phone.

I have the newest firmware--no luck! I went back to 2003SE. I am happy now.

I just upgraded back to 2003SE, and yes I do mean upgraded not downgrade. Upgrades have more features and/or better performance. WM5 is definately a downgrade for now.

Half way down or so.
