The x50v is my first experience with a PDA. I recently purchased the WCF54g and the x50v keyboard. I can't seem to get the software for either to load. The software installers seem to work fine, but at the end of the process, my PDA does not performed as defined in the instructions nor are the drivers present on the PDA.

I'd appreciate any insight.

Have you installed other applications to your PPC successfully? The normal process is to create an ActiveSync connection (usually with the cradel connected to a USB port on your PC) and then run the installation exe file on the PC. With the WiFi card drivers, you should not have the card in place before the installation is complete and the X50 should tell you when it's finished installing them (I suspect the keyboard is the same).

While the setup program may not suggest it, it's usually a good idea with drivers to perform a soft reset after they are installed and before connecting/inserting the device. With the WiFi, a small icon should be placed on the lower right corner of the Today screen when you insert the card which you can tap on to gain access to the setup utility (again, this is probably true for the keyboard as well).

The drivers for the keyboard and the WCF54g are the only attempts. I had planned on downloading something from the Microsoft site to see if I could load in that fashion. (The other two drivers were from CD loads.)

I've tried resetting the device after each load, but that doesn't seem to help. Do you think I need to reload/reconfigure the x50 from scratch?
