My X50 has poor reception even close to WiFi source

I get poor reception even close to WiFi spot. And I most times have trouble downloading my email. Any ideas? Thanks

From what i have read around the forums here if you go into your WLAN Unility and turn the Power Save Mode to Disable it will increase your signal strenght.
I did it with mine and it seems to be a little better wifi coverage.
Hope this helps.

You might also try changing the channel on your router. There could be interference on the one you are currently using which could be affecting the range. You should stick to 1, 6, or 11 since all other channels overlap one or more of these three.

A quick tip: sometimes the Dell LAN utility will connect to a different wi-fi signal than you want.

Example: I was trying to use Skype with my Axim and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why the quality was so crappy. After about two hours of screwing around, I realized I was connected to a neighbors router.

It will show connected, but not to the router you want. I felt pretty dumb after that one.

Are you using the Dell Wlan utility. I have found that I also have to have the Odyssey client configured as well. With that, I connect and stay connected to the network and the channel that I want. Good Luck.
