Hello, has anyone gotten a homebuilt cable to "talk" to anything?
I purchased the apropriate onnecters from Gomadic and have spent more than a week trying to perfect a simple serial cable. I am attempting to "talk" to a Garmin 48 ( TTL level I called Garmin and confirmed) I am using pocket TTY and so far can get only "garbage" to come across the cable. I know I have the Garmin end right because when I connect a DB9 and hook er up to the PC I can get hyperterm to see the correct info ( same settings I am using on pocket TTY) So either there is a problem with the Axim pinout, My logic or the axe is requiring something I am not providing. Can anyone help me out here?
