Audio Static/Hiss when Using Car Adapter

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem - searched the forums and didn't find it. When I'm playing audio out of my X50V in the car and using the car power adapter, there is a lot of static/hiss in the audio. This appears to be coming through the car power adapter when it is charging. If I run off battery, the sound is fine. This happens on both our cars. Anyone have a solution or have a car power adapter that doesn't do this? I'm using a PSP (Pelican) power adapter for the X50V.

Thanks,

David

Does it change how much hissing it is doing when you go different speeds in the car? I had this problem with a pair of headphones in the car as well.

I have experienced the same problem with an in-car VCR/TV combo in our van. When we went uphill (extra strain on the engine) there was a whine from the speakers. Living in LA, I would only let the kids watch movies on the way home from vacation!

I think it has something to do with "dirty" or inconsistent power from the alternator. (I now expect someone that knows more about cars to either 1 - correct me or 2 - launch into a lengthy explaination of what's going on.

It appears to change with speed and where I'm at. But only when the X50V is charging. If if remember correctly, if the airconditioner compressor is running, it's especially loud. I assume that I'm picking up some noise on the 12V from the car adapter - does anyone know of an adapter that doesn't do this?

Exclamation Solution

If oudioadapter has 16ohm resistance you gonna hear the hiss. Use something that has 32ohm or above (better).

DO NOT USE 16 ohm output device use 32 ohm instead

That was working im my case. Good luck.
