Your Axim isn't bricked!!!! I found the cure!!!

[This is for the "90% then froze during boot-up" problem]

Last night, my Axim X50, which I just upgraded to WM5, froze after a soft reset.

I tried everything with Dell support for around an hour and a half.

So, the last thing we did was place the Axim in it's cradle, plug in the USB cable, and plug in the AC adapter. Then I did a hard reset it and soft reset.

After the soft reset, the Axim froze at about 90% of the boot-up. I stayed frozen for a minute and then tech support and I gave up. I proceded to give him shipping information for the replacment Axim.

I can't remember how long it was, but after a certain amount of time, the Axim made a sound and when I looked at it, it had finally booted up!!! (It booted as if I had done a Hard reset)

I told them to cancel the order and installed my back-up!

Anyone who is having this problem, I suggest you try this!

So... Your amazing cure is... time? Somehow I think most people have tried that before declaring their Axims 'bricked' ;).

I was expecting more of a step by step guide
