Solution for battery drainage anyone?

I've been reading a lot of the post on the 'Battery drainage' problem with WM5. Have anyone found a solution yet?

Some people have this problem and some don't, but I can't seem to find a fix for it (if one exits)...

I found disabling active sync from auto starting every 5 minutes fixed it.

Yeah, did that, but it does seem to make any difference.

The battery draining is still the last problem I have with WM 5.0. The "fake" server fixed all but the battery.

The only thing that I have found that seems to help for me is to go to start > settings > system > memory > running programs and then "stop all". I do that any time I'm going to let my x50v set for a while. :approve:

I seem do not have battery problems. Except the first few days, I had some media player running in the background, which I don't know (was a Palm user),and drained the battery to dead.

I got my X51v last Thanksgiving. Updated to A04, then A06 immediately when they're available. As I said, except the aforementioned incidents, I do not have battery drain problem. I do have the dummy sever setting; WiFi and bluetooth are turned off if not in use.

When I upgraded my x50v to WM5 the only way to stop the battery drain was set the CPU to run on maximum power - This meant it wasn't draining the battery in less than 2 days of standby!

However, WM5 only lasted about 3 weeks on my system until I went back to 2003!

I also found my CF Microdrive card doesn't like the Dell :(
