lose last year's pim data when synching

Strangely, on three occasions since Jan 1 2006, all of the past year's Calendar data was erased on my x50v (WM2003)when I synched as usual with activesynch, although the data was unaffected on my computer. My activesynch rule is to always replace items on the computer when there is a conflict. I am able to reinstall the data by re-synching going back to PDA but I foresee an uncorrectable erasure looming in the future. Is there a cause/fix for this?

In your Activesync or Microsoft Outlook settings you can tell it to "archive" information in your calendar when you go back a certain distance. This is what is causing it, I don't remember exactly how to change it.

Did you try going into the settings (Tools - Options, highlight Calendar then click on Settings) to make sure you have selected "Sync ALL appointments"?

That did the trick ! I recently switched the settings to update only past 3 weeks. Now that I took your advice and reset it to synch all, no more lost data. Thank you.
