x50v WM5 update trouble!

I went through the WM5 update process and everything was normal until the point where I'm supposed to remove the x50v from the cradle and do a hard-reset. Once I did the hard-reset, that box asking wether or not I'd like to continue with hard-resetting the device came up and it froze there! No matter what buttons I push or how many times I reset the device (hard and soft), it still brings up that screen and freezes on it! Even if I pull out the battery, it still shows that screen when I put it back in and turn the x50v back on. Right now, I'm waiting for the backup battery to drain and see if that fixes it...Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance...

Sorry for the multiple posts. My computer stopped responding and I didn't know what happened til it was too late. >_<

If I remember that second hard reset took a while. It had to reformat the memory in the pda and it took quite some time to complete. maybe you havent waited long enough? try it again and give it 10 mins or so
edit: and by the way, you can delete the double post if you want to. click on the edit button and delete it from the next screen.

I ran into a problem similar, I did the hard reset and nothing happened. nothing and now my axim is slower, and programs wont load..... WM5 blows

The same thing happen to me and drove me almost crazy until i reliezed that i had my locked switch on. Boy did I feel like a fool.
