PocketPCTechs Dropped the Ball

I sent my X50v into PPCT to have the charge/sync connector repaired, and some other stuff. I sen it out last week sometime. A couple days ago I got an email saying that it was done, tested successfully and it was being shipped back.
Great, I thought.
I received the package today via FedEx (which was left at another #108 unit in my complex... but that's a FedEx gripe for another day.)
I was excited, my baby was back.
I opened the box and horror fell over me. I was distonished. I was appalled. I felt the techie equivalent of receiving the wrong child from the hospital upon discharge.
What I got was not, in fact, an X50v at all. What I got was not even an X50.
I got an X30!!!
Ugh. This thing is a brick. I'm glad I avoided it. regardless of that, I now have an X30 that belongs to some dude in New Jersey. :crooked:
Reuben, if you are out there, I left you a message.
I emailed PPCT and let them know. From what I've heard, PPCT customer support is top-notch.
I will keep you all informed as to the progress of this dilemma.

What a nightmare! There's really no excuse for something like that to happen.

After contact with PocketPCTechs, it turns out they still have my unit but sent me someone else's unit by accident. So I'm ok, they just screwed someone else.
On the lighter side, they asked if I could ship the other guys unit via 2 day FedEx and said they would knock off 50% of my work cost for my troubles.

Apparently my sync/charge port was almost all the way broken from the board. They said they resoldered it and then found that the plug header was corroded a bit. Strange. They are replacing it currently.
