Question Flash and Adobe PDF not installing

I just got a slightly used x50v and am having trouble installing Macromedia Flash player (tried both versions 6 and 7) as well as Adobe Acrobat Reader (2.0 for PPC). The Flash app seems to install fine, both via ActiveSync and CAB file from the unit itself, but I can't seem to find the icon for it anywhere after install. I am able to uninstall, however. I've tried install both from my SD card and from built-in storage. Anyone have any ideas? Any ActiveX issue maybe?

I've all tried installing Adobe Acrobat Reader via ActiveSync (can't find a CAB file), and it won't seem to open.

Any help with any of these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

Flash is a plugin for internet Explorer so it doesn't have its own Icon, you'll only notice it when you browse Flash websites

Question

Much obliged. Do you happen to know how to open swf files from PIE then?

If its a stand alone swf you need to write an html wrapper. There is a proggie that will do this for you but I'm mobile and forgot what it's called citanic (the tweaks2k guy) wrote it.

There are also some stand alone players which I'm sure someone will mention soon :)

I am jumping in because I also I installed flash and tried to go to a flash site but it wasn't detecting it. Like finleyractive I check the uninstall programs and flash is listed but when I checked the running programs it was not active. How do I activate it if there isn't an icon?

Bummer, what a let down.

Can you suggest a site to look at that normally works so I can confirm flash installed correctly?
