is my Axim x50v is dead?

I downloaded the demo of PocketHack Master and attempted to try a "speed increase" setting. It was only 744 MGhz I belive? Not trying to do a huge jump. I hit the Test button and it froze.
When I pressed the reset it never came back. Will not turn on or reset. Hard or soft.
I feel I've done everything I could do? I removed the battery. Tried a different one etc. In the cradle the unit charges but nothing else.
I can't even fathom the idea of sending it off somewhere for a repair???
Real depressed over this I gotta say. I love my Axim and use it every single days, but I guess my curiosty killed the cat.

edit...

When I try my extended battery (which was on the unit when this happened) in the cradle, the charge light goes off.
When I take it out of the cradle and leave the regular battery in the charging slot the cradle light stays on.

Leave the battery out all night.

Can you even get to the blue splash screen?

hmm, I left a "Quick Reply" last night but I see it didn't post.

Anyway, first I want to thank you guys that have replied. :approve:

This morning when I turned on my pc, I got the Active Sync window asking what type of sync etc. AND... I had the screen on my Axim saying to click here to setup etc It seems I just need to reboot my pc???
Right now and for the last hour or so I'm trying to align my screen. That is a whole separate issue! For some reason it takes a minimum of maybe 100 tries or more??? I don't know why but it's been this way forever. Sooner or later it "catches"
but what a pain. The main thing is, it looks like I'm going to get it going again. We'll see.
I'll also need to cancel my new Dell order
I was kinda leery about going to the x51 and WM5 since I have it on CD collecting dust.
