Program buttons not working.

My X50v decided to do a hard reset on its own the other day. I reinstalled everything and got it up and running but now none of the program buttons work. When I press a button I get this message: "01Button.exe. Cannot find '01 Button' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available." I did another hard reset and installed one program at a time and tested the buttons after each install and they all worked fine at first. Then about half an hour later all the buttons stopped working again and displayed the same message. Please help!

Are any of the programs you installed mapped to the buttons? If so, do you do any changing of directories after you have assigned the various buttons to the progams. Do you have the most up to date ROM?
WM5 or WM2003SE?
What happens if you try to go in and reassign the buttons after getting this error - do the buttons work after that?
Does a soft reset do anything for it?

I'll watch for some responses and hopefully get some good info :)

After the hard reset, did the buttons work with the standard PIM applications? If yes, then it appears to be a bad install of the 3rd party app.
If the buttons didn't work properly after the hard reset, then your flash may be corrupted and you would be wise to re-flash the OS back into the unit.
Of course, it it's still under warranty, you have another choice as well.
Note that if the flash has developed a bad area, re-flashing the OS will 'fix' that. That is because the flash controller will remap the bad area with a good spare block.

Thanks for the quick replies! I far as I know no programs I installed were mapped to a button. I have ROM version A03. I tried reassigning a different function to each button and they all worked before and after a soft reset. Then I reassigned the original functions to each button and again they worked before and after a soft reset. Hooray! I didn't get an extended warranty and have had the thing for more than a year, so I hope this has fixed it. Thanks again for your help.
