The Morning Flat Battery Blues
I have an X50V running WM2003. On occasions I will switch the PDA off overnight, only to find the battery flat in the morning. I am guessing that an application is using networking or other resource and draining the battery. Is there a way to ensure that the X50V is shut down, as in not drawing power, when you hit the off button? A flat battery in the morning is becoming annoying.
Thanks,
David.

Yeah, obviously something is still running even after you think you have shut down every program that you were running. What you can do is before you hit the button to cut off the pda, check the following
start>settings>system>memory>running programs
You can shut down everything from here. Then, hit your power button and you should be good. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The other obvious solution is to plug the PPC in overnight. It's actually a good practice for the long term health of the battery and avoids your problem.

I thought lithium-ion batteries actually last longer when not storing a full charge, something like 40%?

I don't mind keeping the PDA in the charger. The problem is when it is not at hand, last thing at night. Come the morning the battery is flat. I guess I am going to have to take care to close everything down.
Thanks everyone.

Might be worth buying SPB PocketPlus, which incorporates a close program button which actually does just that!
