Wierd Wifi connection problem

My X50V stopped connecting to my wifi net but it connects to other networks in my neighborhood without problems. I have tried the Dell WLAN client and the Odyssey client without success. It can see my network but will not connect. Monitoring the with the WLAN utility, I see the signal drop in and out. Also it tries to connect as Ad Hoc while the net is an Infrastructure. I have also tried to hard code an IP address on the card and force a static IP via DHCP. I have a Linksys WRT54GS router using MAC filtering without encryption. I have tried hard resets, restoring from older backups and changing the SSID on my router, changing the channel, all without success. Has anyone seen this problem before? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'd bet there's interference from some other 2.4 ghz device.
If you live in an apartment, the device could actually be next door.

I found out the problem and I feel embarrassed. As it turned out my router was set for 54Mbps as opposed to auto. Since the X50V's WLAN card only supports 802.11b, it would never connect. Sorry to have troubled you. Thanks

Thanks for sharing this. I've installed a range extender and was baffled why my Axim X50v could connect to the wireless router, but not the range extender. All my other wireless devices are working fine.

After reading your post about the 54Mbps setting, I checked and, sure enough, the range extender was set the same way. I changed to "Auto", and all is working well.
