Lately, I've losing the connection between my X50v and both of my Docking Stations.
Has anybody had experience with this (serial connector getting loose on the PDA?)

Yes. My 1.2 year old Axim X50v just had the same issue. Most probably its the problem with the connection (due to oxidation or dirts)

Since the warranty has expired, I tried opening up the cradle and found the problem with the little piece that connects to the Axim. I was careless to make the piece drop from the main circuit board when opening the casing.. and now the piece wouldn't ever 'stand still' for connecting with the axim.

I end up spend RM62 (app. USD18) getting a new one from dell

Yep, mine did that about two weeks before the warrenty expired. Dell sent me a new one that, so far, works fine.
