Activesync never connects.

Was trying to determine if Im having a hardware problem or software. I want to go back to wm2003, but that's a bit tough with activesync not functioning.

Sorry, don't know to what you are refering.

If it helps, it's theversion of activesync that was included with WM05 that dell sent out in Oct.

Dl/ed AS 4.2 beta. and with a little help from the troubleshooting section, got AS to connect ONCE:(

Tried a hard reset, but axim does not respond to ANY keypress when at screen saying "To restore factory settings, press"

Help please!

It's the Contacts Hardware key. That will do it. Then you will be presented with the same set up screens you were the first time you powered up out of the box.

Why did you want WM5 on your Axim? It doesn't offer any benefit at all to a plain Pocket PC; only Phone devices. Also, Aximsite is full of threads about problems with WM5, including a petition initiated by Chris Leckness, the site administrator, requesting Dell to address the problems. (Which will most likely never happen, as Dell has abandoned the platform completely).

Stick w/ WM2003SE!

Been having a problem where Axim v e r y s l o w l y redraws screen, zooms, and scrolls since using the GPS w/Streets and Trips. Uninstalled S&T, no change.

Wanted to try the upgrade to WM5 then downgrade after. :(

Axim is sitting there, with "To restore factory settings," window,
and will NOT respond to ANY keys.

I would almost bet that you nailed it with this, BKF!

I have been completely stumped by the keylock on my X50v SO many times - and this is even after a year and a half with my X50v!

Sometimes I even remember to suggest it, like you just did - but most of the time I even forget then.

I love the feature, but it gets me good about every two weeks or so.

The key lock gets me occasionally, but no, I didn't forget to disable it:)

Newest is: get error #244 when trying to reinstall wm03. (x50v R106214.EXE)

get "The system Update file can not be found. Reinstall the System Update" when trying to rollback the axim to WM03:(

When attempting to restore ROM image, get "The procedure CANNOT proceed: *You can only restore the ROM image to the same device from which it was originally saved"
Image CAME from the very AXIM im trying to restore it to, arrRRGHHHH!!!

ANY suggestions re: returning this paperweight to usefullness greatly appreciated.
