Battery dies overnight

When not on the charger overnight, my X50v has a dead battery. Could something be running while in standby mode that's eating the charge?

I've looked and searched. I've found similar issues, but nothing exactly like this.

Any help?

There are certain apps that will prevent the PPC from shutting down. Windows Media Player for example.

IS it possible that you're leaving some apps open?

Try doing a soft reset immediately before you go to bed tonight and see what happens.

Although we have an update to DockWare that I suggest installing if you haven't (just grab the latest one from our site) my guess is that it isn't DockWare. The main reason is that Dockware only runs while the device is on external power. If not in the cradle it won't run.

When I've seen other people run into this sort of thing it is either due to flaws in the device/OS or else a program that keeps turning the device on to update information. (If it needs to connect to the internet for instance and it keeps waking the device up, looking for a connection, and then turning back off).

AHA! Then it could be Weather Panel looking for forecast updates!

I'll have to look into it a bit more to see if it's configurable to only update when docked.

Thanks!
