How to reinstall A05?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to reinstall A05 on my Axim X50v and it won't allow me to do it because it says that it is already installed. How do I get around this? I know that I can just do a Hard Reset but, I'm running into a few Media Player issues and feel that doing a full ROM install would be better. Thanks.

I know you can use the SD image loader to do this. I don't know if there is another way that would be easier though.

A hard reset would be the better option, the chances of it being a corrupted rom are very very low. The chances of bricking your axim doing the re-install are probably higher

Question A05 reinstall.

You would think that Dell would have figured the need for this into it's software. There must be a direct way?

There really ins't much of a reason to 're-install' a ROM. Once it is installed then you just have to hard reset to go back to it, like Andy says. Are you having a problem with your install or something else? Did it work after the install was done then started having problems? If so then it sounds like a software problem from a program you installed and the hard reset will cure it. Post back so we can try to help.

A05 Reinstall

The issue I ran into was that media player stopped playing AVIs, so I figure that if I reinstall A05 again this should get fixed.

Probably not needed. One thing I would check is how much memory is available. You might want to clean out the temp folder and other stuff that builds up if you browse the internet. Also if you haven't already done so a soft reset might be enough to fix the issue. Also you might want to look into a program called TCPMP. It is an awesome player much better than the MS one.
