This problem just came up this week. When I have the X50 plugged in, the power light continuously changes back and forth from orange to green. It is at the same rate the colon flashes on a digital clock. It does it whether the X50 is on or off.

Going into the power menu, it shows the battery is charging, but once you unplug it, the battery is right back at the same level it was when you started charging. I have left it charging all night and it doesn't add any charge at all.

I have verified that both my OEM power cable and battery are good by using a friend's X50, and I have also verified the charge level shown is correct by putting my battery in his X50.

I am out of warranty, of course. Anyone ever see this before?

I had exact same problem a month or so ago. I too tried charging all night in axim holder but it did not work. Just for the heck of it I removed battery from axim and placed in holder/charger by itself. Next morning all was fine. Go figure.

See if you can use your friend's battery in your ax and see what happens.
