X50/51 Synch Connector Repair

For all who are having problems with the synch connector on your x50/51 series axim. After strugling with charging problems due to a damaged synch connector, I sent my unit to pocketpctechs. Their service was prompt nad excellent. The unit functions perfectly again (yeah!). The cost of the repair (including tax) was $55 + my cost to send the unit to them. I recommenbd highly. That sounds great! Could you tell us how long they had your unit and what problems you were having in more detail? It sounds like ones I am having and a reasonable cost if it doesn't take too long. Thanks for sharing.

Problem Description: Initially, unit would charge proeprly on the cradle, but only charge on a cable connection if the dongle was jiggled or propped at just the right angle. Eventually, it wouldn't charge at all on the cable, and only on the cradle with similiar types of jiggling, proping, holding etc.

I sent my Axim, priority mail from NJ to CA, late on a Thursday. They emailed me on Monday confirming reciept and by Wednesday they confirmed it was repaired and sent me a tracking number. I received the unit on the following Monday. Total time "wmb" (without my brain) 10 days. You can speed that up by using more expeditious shipping methods. I recommend them HIGHLY

I just emailed them and they said they don't offer sync connector replacements on the x50v.... who did you talk to?
