Repair for X50 sync/charge connector

Can anyone recommend a repair shop for my X50, which is having the sync/charge connector problem (where the cable and cradle no longer can hold a connection.) FYI, Martina at PocketPCTechs says they do not offer this repair.

Not sure I understand your question. If it is an issue with the cradle then just buy a new one from Dell or on ebay.

I just had the same problem. Dell replaced the cradle under warranty and that did not do it. So they offered to replace the X50v....I begged and got an X51v which is really much better in many ways.

Can you opt for the extended warranty if you don't have it?

To clarify, it's the connector inside the PDA that's the problem. The cradle isn't broken.

As for an extended warranty... would Dell sell me one at this point? The device is a couple years old. :-(

If you are still under warranty Dell will sell you additional warranty up to a total coverage of 3yrs max. So if you bought 2 yrs originally you could purchase an additional year if you still had time left on the original period.
