Aximsiteactivesyncicon AS4 Problems Help Appreciated

Ok, I have had every model of Axim since their inception. I've loved every one of them. I recently bought an X50v to use just around the farm, so I don't destroy a more expensive model out in the field. Anyways, I installed Activesync 4 through the Getting started CD, and it was recognizing just fine. I then Used the Dell Upgrade disc to upgrade from WM2003SE to WM5, all went smoothly until I now try to get the darn PC to recognize I have it there. Activesync does not find it, and for some reason the install new hardware wizard starts, but cannot complete because it says someting abut an inf file maybe being written for Windows 95 or later. I have NEVER had this problem in any way, shape, or form before. One other odd thing is that now no matter what I do, when I insert the very same getting started CD, it is always at the very END of the process, and not at the beginning. SO I cannot just start the whole thing over, and only have limited options, such as "Re=Install" ActiveSync4 which I have done a hundred times. I very much appreciate all that read and reply. I want to use this thing so badly, but I have no way of getting any software or anything on it without ActiveSync working. Thanks to all.

Download the newest AS from MS. I've had no problems since I did that, I can even sync my X50v/WM05 over BT without a hitch.

I ended up downloading the new 4.5beta available. Still had problems. I had to manually install drivers for the Axim when it found the device, and then everything worked fine.
