When I try to beam a file from my Axim 50v to the desktop PC it asks me to choose a device but the infrared device has a message that says to allign ports -- am I supposed to put the Axim in the direct line of IR sight to the PC? I would try that but I don't have a battery for the Axim yet.

I would like to enable the Bluetooth connection between my Axim and the PC but active sync doesn't have any ports that I can use even though the com port on my PC is available. How can this be addressed?

Ir needs to be in direct line.
Did your Ax come without a battery?
Do you have bluetooth on your PC?
