Why The Sudden Syncing Problems?

Hi all, I'm new here so please be gentle with me. : )

I have an Axim X50 with which I've synced to Outlook on my PC at home with no problems since I bought it early last year. No problems whatsoever and I've been extremely happy with my Axim.

I don't know what I've done, but since last week or so whenever I cradle the X50 and my PC starts to sync with it, the Axim pops up a message requesting me to "correct my Exchange server password," or something to that effect.

To my knowledge I haven't changed anything. I did a bunch of reading on the web and it appears that I now have to have a certificate installed on my Axim? I don't get it. What changed and can I change it back?

I couldn't find any real concise instructions as to how I can return my Axim to the way it was, or what I did to it in the first place. I use my Axim for my real estate business so I'd like to get this fixed some time soon.

Can anyone out there educate me? I'm certainly not a computer genius and would appreciate any advice.

P.S. I am running Windows Mobile 5, Activesync 4.2 and Windows XP Home Edition on my desktop.

You might search and see if your problem is one of the problems that is common for the x50 running wm5. I would try uninstalling AS and then reinstalling to see if that solves your problem. If all else fails a hard reset would bring it back to new but you would have to reinstall any software that you have loaded. Are you running any firewall or antivirus software. If so, you might disable and see if that solves your problem.

I can try all that, but could it be some "certificate" issue, do you think? I had never even heard of certificates until now.
