Hello,

I am starting this thread cause I could not find a similar thread on the site. I just ugraded to WM5 on my Dell Axim X50v. I also installed the A02 ROM update, so now I am wondering if there are any worthwhile hints and tips before I install a bunch of software on to the device.

I hate being a nay sayer but to answer your question the only tip I can give you after over a month of trying different things is to either get the ram upgrade from PPC techs otherwise things slow up or downgrade to W2K3SE because it has more available ram which makes it faster.

Do it right and your x50 will work better than it ever has. W2k3se SUCKS! Do NOT use the broadcomm bluetooth stack with A02. It slows down the system. Stick with the Microsoft Bluetooth stack. The only other thing I did was delete the two CompactionPrio registry entries, and my dell is faster than it has ever been with wm2003. WM5 stopped me from selling mine.
