On turn on, grey screen with 26 v lines!

I have an Axim X50v.

Every few times I turn the device on a grey screen appears with about 26 thin vertical lines, unevenly spaced.

When I reset the device, the Axim starts as normal, for a few times, then the screen returns.

I cant figure out why this occurs.

I am using WM2003 with the latest Rom installed

Sounds as if the connections to the screen are damaged. Does twisting the device help?

(cue "Mexican hat dance") Are you looking at the Mexican Blanket of death? Full backup then hard reset and see what happens then. Just to amuse me.

Sounds like something is corrupting the video when you power it off. What do you leave running when you hit the button?

I've got the came problem when I leave adobe reader or core media player running (sometimes) I did a full backup and a hard reset and reinstalled just adobe and it runs fine. when I resotre from the back up it starts acting up again. My assumption then is there is either a conflict with some programs or the prossesor is getting overloaded. I'm running SPB Pocket Plus 2.5, SPB finance and sbsh clock. (among other things but those are the only three that I know for sure that run as soon as the X50V starts up.) I'm going to try un installing one thing at a time and see what is causing it.

Same issue here with x51v. It happens when I press the power button while a game like Machines at War or TMCP movie set at paused. Resuming later causes the immediate 'Mexican Blanket' or vertical lines.

Well I got mine to clear up (mostly) by uninstslling SBSH clock. now it only does it when I leave adobe and core player running and i turn it off. I'm pretty sure that if I were to uninstall all my today screen plugins that it would clear up. The only problem is I like them too much!
