X50V WM5+AKU2 dont want load

I was installing SPB pocket plus and the device went "sleep" i was not able to turn it on so i done HardReset.

After Hard Reset progressbar stops at cca 90% and dont continue. Light is still on. But nothing is happening.

Can i fix it somehow?

Please help, i dont want to buy new PDA. :-(

Hello, I have the same problem with my axim. For more than 3 weeks I have been looking for information and asking for a help in this forum and nobody wants to help. Many people have the same problem and they could repair their axims trough this website but they don’t want to share the tricks. Somebody has point me this thread http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112012 but the links to get the files don’t work any more and it is 1 ½ year old.

Or maybe you will receive replays asking you if you move you battery or remove your battery for a day or if you axim is locked. But the thing that maybe works is loader or flashing the axim from SD.

Mate, don’t waste too much energy here; some of the people here are very selfish.

I am in UK, looking where my pda could be repair.

I really don't know how relevant to the X50 this is as it was done on an X51, but try looking at http://www.jaml.com/ROMCreation/ under "The Process" the CRC will be wrong but IIRC when you try to flash it you get the right CRC to use in the file so you can do that and try to reflash again.

I don't know if this does work but I've also posted the IMG2NB0F tool he lists as necessary, the others are for modifying ROMs, I think this tool requires the PC to have .NET V2.

I think jfdo75 is being hugely unfair. I have had nothing but help from people in these forums.

As for okno's X50v I suggest you take a look through these forums for a 2003 ROM image. As long as you have an SD card you can use the SD Loader (again search the forums for info) to reflash you X50 back to 2003.

The X50 was really not designed for WM5 so to be honest your best bet is to flash back to 2003 and ebay your X50 and get an X51. This is what I did about a year ago and have never looked back. I've never had any problems with my X51v (lucky to a certain degree I guess but I do use it every day.)

For flashing, do i need pc to recognize my pda? because now nothing happend if i will connect it to cradle.

you do need to get the ROM image onto the SD card somehow. If you can't do this through AS then I suspect it will have to be some other SD card reader...
