I've searched here, done the troubleshooting and Googled elsewhere but have not seen anything quite like what I have. My 1-1/2 year old x50 just stopped connecting with wifi access points after heavy use. I fiddled with it under 2003 and just did the upgrade to WM5 to A02 and have the same issue.

Basically, it sees my access point, I put in my wep key and it doesn't connect. You see other networks fine but none of them connect. Anything else I can try or is my wifi radio shot? Everything else works fine but I got this for the wireless capabilities.

That happened on my x50, and a hard reset solved it. I figured it was a software issue.

Doh!

After several hard resets, OS installs and tweaking I finally figured out what was going on here... last week I upgraded the firmware on my router and somehow the wifi got changed from "mixed B/G" to "G-only" mode. You'd think WM5 might throw up a dialog about this not being a B connection but all is now back in order.

WM5 looks pretty stable on the x50; time will tell if I keep it on here.
