power adapter warning?
It supposed that the power adapter of the X51v is compatible with X30 or vise versa.
I connected the adapter to a X30 (via the travel adapter, not the usb base), the power light of the X30 blinked for a 1/2 sec then stopped.
It seems that I had a kind of over voltage protection, the charger stopped to provide voltage. Then, I disconnected/re-connected the charger from the mains and this seems to make the charger work again..
After this, I managed to connect the power adapter of the X30 to X51v, this work very well.
As i see the 2 adapters are about the same .
same voltage/amperes/rating. THE only differences are :
-----------------------------------------------------------------
charger | cable | rev. | Efficiency level | cc: |
-----------------------------------------------------------------
X30 |thin | A01 | none | C |
X51v |thick |A03 | IV | P |
-----------------------------------------------------------------
both are ADP-13CB A (i suppose its the model nr?)
so.. Is there something wrong with the X51v adapter? I mean if it is provide more voltage than normal , the X30 cannot tolerate it but the X51v (and I don't know if its bad for the X51v!)
i measure both the chargers via a reliable multimeter :
x30 adpter: 5.59vdc
x51v apater: 5.57vdc
