Once -
I got home from University to find my axim wouldn't power on. I had left it in the car, on a hot day. Not a bright thing to do :o
Eventually I got it going - here is what I would try if it happend again.
(Im no expert, but have spent many hours fiddling around with the axim)
1. remove all cards from the axim; sd, compact flash - what ever
2. remove the battery, gently clean the terminals on the battery with a rubber
pencil eraser. its a little messy. or use another small rubber eraser.
3. while the battery is removed, check it has not bulged (a sign its kaput)
4. re-insert the battery and be sure the latch has shut properly - Dohhh!.
5. try it
6. if still off, hook it up to a computer or AC power pack ( i dont have a cradle).
try it again if it doesn't come on automatically.
----------> if it does come back to life, please read

........ if not --> in the interest of science

I removed the battery from my axim and plugged it in to my AC power pack. There was no recharge possible but i could still turn the unit on (without the battery) and the battery cover in place.
cheers - good luck.
