Hi there,I have a Axim50V running 2003SE, a week ago while I was
changing a flat battery(18% remaining) to another which is fully charged,IT HARD-SET WITHOUT ANY PROMPT,as a result I lost all my files and have to re-installed
them,thanks to Back-up it did not take long.
Can anyone tell me why this happened,and will there be a repeat and how
to avoid thus.

Since the happening I have changed battery only when connected to main
power,but not always possible.

sounds like you need a new backup battery.

Hi there folks,I dont thinkl there is a back-up battery in 50V
maybe its lost somewhere in the system during the months of usage!!!

Backup battery is internal and there to maintain a charge whilst you change batteries over. Have a look here
