Once you have created a BT comport and configured AS to allow connecions on that comport, you should have this profile on the PDA

The problem is that the Settings in PocketPC only offers Serial Cable as a device service for my computer. ActiveSync is not on the Menu.. How can I have my Axim add ActiveSync to the bluetooth services options?

The axim is only reporting what it reads from the BT stack.

Ensure the PC's BT is configured

and in ActiveSync

Thanks for offering me prompt answers and advice. But the situation seems to get more complicated for me at this point because my computer, though it is running Windows XP Service Pack 2, uses the Wildcomm Bluetooth Stack and not the Windows built-in one.

That might be part of the problem because the Windows Stack may work better with the Axim...

UPDATE: Got rid of the Widcomm stack and got the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack on.. However, the service for ActiveSync isn't available for the Pocket PC device in the bluestack options...

UPDATE 2: My first synchronization via bluetooth went through somehow... This process has been such a pain that I am not celebrating yet. I could have trouble again later.. I do hope that it will work again and I want to thank you radimus for those detailed instructions and screenshots. They got me to switch over to the Windows Bluetooth stack and I wouldn't have thought it without your input. Major thanks to you...
