I just purchased a new 2 GB CF card for use in my Axim x50v. I had no accessing the card in my PC and copying some files to it. However, when I put it in the Axim, I get a dialog box entitled "Unrecognized Card" asking for me to enter the name of the device driver for the card.

I am running WM2003SE and ROM A05.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

put the card in a PC card reader, see if it is readable there.

If not, format it FAT16 copy any file to it and put back in the axim.


It is possible the card itself is bad.

I just reformatted the card to make sure it was FAT16 and copied some files onto from my PC it with no problems. However, when I insert it, I still get the "Unrecognized Card" box.

Is it a microdrive? Axims can only read some of them.

Nope. It is a 2GB Kingston CF memory card.
