I recently today received an email from PocketPC techs telling me that they can not revive my x50v they said they tried everything in their power to fix. I literally spent 60 dollars telling me that they cant fix it but meanwhile its a company that says that they can revive it if any problems with the ROM. Im starting to think that now I just gave them 60 dollars just for the hell of it. What do you guys think? Is there anybody out there that has had the same problem as me but managed to get it unbricked. If any one please tell me in this thread so besides it helping me but other users on this site too. Thank you =]
That's the going rate for electronic repairs. It's not their fault that the unit is "bricked" - they expended labor to make the determination that you, yourself, was not qualified to make. Take a laptop to a repair shop and you'll pay the same thing; an hour labor as a minimum charge.
:hide:"This brick is bricking bricked, Sir!" :hide:

Im sure they feel bad charging you for nothing, but all ur paying for is labor. You know they took a good hard look at the thing, and that took some time.

i went to install the new custom rom for the x50v and idk i guess how i installed it, the device was completely unresponsive and no signs or anything like that appeared on the screen. so i went to put it on the dock and the charging light went on but the unit itself didnt turn on i was getting nervous and then realized that its literally bricked. So i sent it to them hoping that they can resolve the problem for me because i heard about the ROM recovery service that they offered, so I purchased that, then like a week later one of the techs told me that its completely gone they couldn't even do something to restore it and etc. So i begged them if there was anything in there power to revive it and the tech told me hell try his best. Then a couple of days ago they told me that they are sending me back my unit and now, i have nothing but a paper weight. Is there anybody that has the same situation as me but managed it revive it, please for the love of god please tell me one of you has a solution.

Sorry to hear your bad news.
Have you called Dell hardware tech for help? maybe it's my silly idea. I read here people got a refurbished one after having some problems (not sure the details), yours seem serious. Do some research here (e.g a thread: Dell replace my x50v with x51v) see how people did that. Nothing to loose to call Dell.

Good luck!
Please realize that you can get more help from users here at Aximsite than from Dell Tech Support. If you still have warrenty coverage, you voided it by flashing the custom rom. The only reason that Dell replaced some peoples' X50v is because they bricked their axims trying to flash an OFFICIAL ROM via the NORMAL USB METHOD.
