Help - I broke my Axim X50

Hi,

I was too brave and tried to upgrade my Axim X50 (not v) to WM5. But I used the wrong files (they were for X50v). Now it is bricked. Fortunatley as Domme told in a threat the X50 and X50v use the same bootloader and I can still access the bootloader. However my pda doesnt work. I tried to create my own *.nb0 files using the tutorial of domme. But I cannot get it working. I cannot create an OS image. Therefore, can please somebody help me and post either the files I need to reinstall WM2003SE (via SD card) or the WM5 files.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your quick reply Steven855,

the files in yout thread look like they are for the X50v not the X50. I need them for the X50. I didnt manage to make my own *.nb0 files from a ROM image (I tried several times) and therefore I am hoping to find somebody who can send them to me.

Can anybody help me?

Has anyone provided you with the X50 (not v) nb0 & crc file yet for WM5?
I'm needing them as well. I have the upgrade CD, but at the moment, that won't help much.

Let me know.
Thanks,
Anthony

I can't help you complete the WM5 upgrade via sd loader. However, I can help you get back to WM 2003 SE. Look at the top of page 32 of the thread I refered you to. I posted a simplified tutorial of how to revive your axim. Follow it exactly, except after when you extract the files from the rar file, rename the bootloader file (DiMa_B_A05_X50_WM2003_ENG.nb0) to WM50_B_A05_X50_WM2003_ENG.nb0 (change the 1st part of the crc file from "DiMa" to "WM50" and load the bootloader file first before the os part (DiMa_K_A05_X50_WM2003_ENG.nb0). If this doesn't help, let me know.
