Soft Reset causes all data loss

Hi All:
New to site but serious problem. I use my Axim 50v continually at work. Over the last months, when ever I soft reset it loses everything. i have to remember to always back up to the SD to get my programs back.
i can't install any new software if it asks for a soft reset after install.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Bill

OUCH . . .

Soft reset has cleared my data only about three times in nearly three years of use. It always happened without waring, but it was never consistent like yours. Does it happen with both hardware & software soft reset?

Hi: Thank you. Both using the button on the back and any 3rd party such as spd soft reset does it. i actually uninstalled spd thinking that is the problem.

Also wireless no longer works as i get some "driver missing error" Bluetooth ok. i thought that the OS is corrupted but I am deployed to the mid east and do not have my install disks with me. I actually paid for Win Mob 5 on paypal, thinking if I upgraded that would help, but after paying the 10 bucks the software won't load. Afterwards, I read on this site that they are all pirated copies. i didn't know it.

My guess is i have to reinstall all the software after a wipe.
BY the way the software says the backup battery is ok.

Thanks

Bill
