For the past few months my usually robust x50v running windows 2003 A05 has been locking up, sometimes draining the battery, and sometimes causing a memory error. Usually have to do a hard reset and restore go get working again, but also have done a few hard resets and reloaded all programs and data. Seems to be related to calendar reminders, but is unstable (but improved) even when disabling all reminders. Have installed new Dell battery, tried to incorporate the Activesync work around, etc. Any thoughts?

You could try upgrading it to WM5, and then if you dont like that downgrade back to 2003 and then you would have a completely clean ROM install.
