Question My axim randomly powers off in the cradle

Has anyone else had this problem? I've had the Axim for a couple of years now. My battery is showing a 90% charge - could it just be I need a new one?

I put it in the cradle and it dims and eventually powers off. It does this probably a half dozen times after first being placed in the cradle, then stops. May randomly shut off again during the day -

The other option I considered was that after plugging and unplugging in the cradle every day for 2 years the connection may just be loose?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Uh, under Settings > System > Power, are you sure that the checkbox for "On external power: Turn off device..." is unchecked? Also, if it's dimming on its own and you don't want it to, go to Settings > System > Brightness > External Power and uncheck the "Dim if device is idle..." setting.

Thanks

Thank you both for your responses. Yes, the cradle is plugged in.
Everything mentioned was unchecked - so it really does seem random.
