Aximsitex50icon Urgent problem with my dell axim X50v

Last week I updated my X50v to wm5 AO1. Since then I have been having several broblems. When I would take my pda off the charging dock the screen would turn white and I couldn't turn it off, all that I could do wast perform a soft or hard reset. I have done both of these several times, and the last time that I did a reset my screen went to the dell screen like it should. But, the loading bar at the bottom of the screen stopped about 1/4 from the end. I still couldn't turn it off. I left it like this for 24 hrs. but it still didn't change. so I took the battery out for 24 hrs. and that also didn't help. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fik it please E-mail me at cappsx4@hughes.net

Thank You:bang:

Aximsitex50icon Read this message after "Urgent problem with my pda

This message is to be read after my first titled "Urgent problem with my PDA"
I just got a message on my pda screen that said: :exc:A memory error has been detected. Press contacs button to correct the error. If the system does not boot, press (Power)+(Reset) to clear all data in the memory and reboot the system.

I have done both suggestions that it gave me, and both of them ended up where I started: the Dell screen with a loading bar on the bottom that stops before the end and freezes. Again if anyone knows of a way to fox this problem please E-mail me at cappsx4@hughes.net

Thank You

Most of us have stayed with WM2003SE with our X50v

I had lot of problems with WM5 on the X50v, with WM2003SE it is absolutely trouble free, I run an X51v with WM5 and even it has some errors with the software I'm running. When I want reliability I stick with my X50v with WM2003SE, always works, always there..

Have a great day..

Emperor: Since I'm assuming you used the Dell provided upgrade to WM5 which no longer boots properly I believe there is really only one option to return the unit to original factory condition. That process is to use the SD flash boot loader process to re-flash back to WM2003SE. This is documented extensively on this site however it can also be problematic unless done carefully. If you don't know what I'm talking about send me a private message and i'll see if I can help.
